Bio

Jim was born and raised in Southern California. After attending CalPoly he entered the US Air Force first as a journalist/broadcaster and later as an officer and hospital administrator. After retiring in 1986 he and his family moved to Santa Barbara, California where he was an assistant hospital administrator, then a commercial real estate broker, followed by becoming a life insurance agent, bank trust officer for two banks and finally forming his own company, MainStreet Financial Planning, Inc. where he retired after 20 years. He now helps fee-only financial advisors and people working with advisors overcome procrastination and move ahead with financial plan implementation. He does not sell products, manage money or give regulated financial advice. His role is coaching.
