Bio

Jill Edwards, MS, CEP, DipACLM, is Director of Education for The Plantrician Project.

Her career has spanned classrooms, corporate training, clinical care, and nonprofit leadership, all united by a passion for transforming health through lifestyle medicine. Jill began as a high school teacher and professional dancer before transitioning into exercise science. As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine, she spent over eight years in cardiopulmonary rehab, where she played a key role in bringing the Ornish Reversal Program (ICR) to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

For a decade, Jill served at the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, rising from Plant-Based Nutrition Instructor to Executive Director of Education. She was instrumental in developing the organization’s flagship Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate with Cornell University, now a globally recognized credential.

Today at The Plantrician Project, Jill channels her expertise and vision into advancing lifestyle medicine as a driver of better health outcomes, a more sustainable food system, and a healthier planet. She also brings a personal perspective: through diet and lifestyle, she successfully placed her rheumatoid arthritis into remission.

Jill is an engaging and sought-after speaker whose presentations leave audiences motivated, hopeful, and equipped to take action in their own lives and communities. She speaks with warmth, clarity, and conviction—whether addressing healthcare professionals, students, or the general public.

  • I attended Jill's lecture on the Science behind Plant-based Diets and Heart Disease at the National Wellness Conference. She is one of the most charismatic speakers I have ever heard. Her mastery of the subject was evident from the case studies, research data, and various practical strategies she offered during the talk, along with humor and engaging poll questions. As soon as the presentation finished, I immediately requested that she come back and speak again.
