In today’s demanding professional environment, especially within associations & corporate settings, stress impacts communication, decision-making, and the ability to lead with clarity and confidence.
In this engaging session, Jessica from Journey to Yourself, a speaker, stress management health educator, and public health professional, shares practical strategies to help association executives and supplier members reduce stress, enhance self-awareness, and develop leadership habits that create lasting impact.

This presentation begins with the story of why I started teaching about stress management and burnout. I provide an overview of my upbringing of addiction and abuse. This led me to my career in working in the drug and alcohol field, working with men to reduce their sentence from jail and coming to the rehab. My story showcases how we try to be in control of things we cannot control, but there are things we can control. The story highlights how even though we show happiness on the outside does not mean we are happy on the inside. This story is to create credibility and validation on my education and experience, but more importantly reliability among the audience. The presentations become interactive right after that. Questions are asked around how the audience would define stress and how they react physically, emotionally and through behavior. It can be easy to become aware of how we react to big stressors in our lives. This presentation focuses on the small and every day stressors. The discussion turns to the five habits that can be practiced on a daily basis. These habits are presented with more interactive questions, and stories the audience can relate too. The general overview of these are to show that we do not need the next best app or practice. We have a lot of the tools within ourselves.
