Jerald Scott (native Southside Houstonian) is an Athletic Coach, Trader & Motivational Speaker that is enriching the lives of his community by sharing his inspiring journey of turning personal tragedy into his ultimate triumph. For we are all Talented, Resilient and Unstoppable (TRU). He grew up on the south side of Houston’s inner city streets, to which he give credit to his active lifestyle ever since childhood.
His whole life he has always placed a high value on teamwork and working hard so growing up he invested time into playing basketball, taking part in the school band, and inspiring change by being on student council. His sincere passion has been to inspire others through his positivity despite the adversities he has faced in life. On October 24, 2018 he was involved in a major motorcycle accident.
He was thrown off of the freeway while the bike remained approximately 400 yards away, still on the freeway. He wasn’t found for up to three hours and lost close to 9 pints of his blood.
The incident also resulted in him losing his right leg above knee, a fracture in his right wrist and an 8 to 10 inch rod with 10 screws in his left elbow and forearm. Through it all, he is now focused on using his traumatic experience to inspire others in life.
There are many people in his community and around the world that can benefit from what he has been through.
So he plans to use his personal situations to relate to others and help by showing them they are not alone and that success can still be achieved with faith, strength and mental toughness.
