Introduction to the Internal Family Systems Model: Innovation in the alleviation of human suffering

This workshop provides an introduction to the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model, a unique and compassionate model of psychotherapy that locates the source of healing within the client. IFS is recognized by SAMHSA’s National Registry for Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP). IFS is utilized in the treatment of such wide ranging physical and emotional challenges as rheumatoid arthritis, depression, anxiety, addiction, sexual compulsivity, trauma, eating disorders, self-loathing, dissociation and suicidal ideation. IFS has surged in popularity in recent years as clinicians have discovered its radical effectiveness with otherwise entrenched populations. IFS was the basis for the popular Pixar movie “Inside Out,” and is being used in such diverse environments as inner-city classrooms, professional athletic trainings, therapy centers, and international peace negotiations.

Politics, Religion and Other Unmentionables: Finding Self in a polarized world.

Our world is increasingly polarized by political and religious ideology that wounds and divides. From the halls of Congress to the hallways of Harvard to the sanctuaries of southern churches, Jenna has lived and worked, studied and worshipped, alongside the most divisive groups in the country. This workshop will speak powerfully to our hearts as we learn together to bring hope to divided communities and bring the message of Self-leadership to a world that desperately needs it.

Changing the Game: Internal Family Systems (IFS) in Sex Addiction Treatment

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that brings a revolutionary new lens to the treatment of sex addicts and their partners. IFS guides both client and therapist towards the healing power that exists within each individual, and engages therapist and client compassion for even the most difficult "parts" of any client, such as the "part" that acts out sexually and the "part" that controls or the "part" that denies. IFS brings enhanced client self awareness, facilitates much more rapid and permanent healing than traditional methods, and entirely avoids resistance as it moves towards all parts of the client with compassion and curiosity.

Internal Family Systems: When spirituality meets innovation in the alleviation of human suffering
