Jeff holds degrees in Economics from the University of California and an MBA from The American Graduate School (Thunderbird). Jeff has a PhD from Massey University in investments and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Jeff’s career traverses business and academia. The focus of Jeff’s business career has been start-up innovative companies, with broad experience in all aspects of business development and financial management. Jeff’s prior international business and investment experience largely dictate his financial research direction. His research encompasses the interface between academia and the financial services sector. Jeff’s research passions lie with building financial capability, improving investor education, and addressing challenges faced by the financial services sector. He sits as a founding Board Member for the Westpac/Massey University Financial Education and Research Centre. Jeff is an actively involved Chartered Financial Analyst and well known international speaker. Most recently, Jeff has been an outspoken commentator on the future of financial services, co-hosting a 2017 conference on Digital Innovation in Financial Services. Jeff is a Distinguished Toastmaster, with an engaging speaking style, who presents regularly on investing and financial literacy.
