Jeffrey Ampratwum

Originally from Ghana, West Africa, but born and raised in New York City - Jeffrey was welcomed into a space of creativity. His early style influences were infused with renaissance culture, sartorial structure and street style art. After graduating college with a degree in Dental Studies, he found himself in Paris to begin a career in fashion design and fashion art curation as a creative director in Womenswear. Thereafter, he returned to NYC to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology with a focus in Menswear.

Jeffrey worked with the top fashion professionals in the industry, namely Joseph DeAcetis - Menswear expert at Forbes, notable Fashion Stylist Sadia Seymour and high profile photographer, Antoine Verglas. He also launched his career as a celebrity stylist.

Jeffrey is currently teaching Menswear Styling at The Fashion Institute of Technology.. He has developed one of the only Fashion Studies programs for middle school learners in the inner city.. His work with children in fashion has been recognized and highlighted by several news outlets and community leaders. Jeffrey is also an advocate for adaptive clothing and inclusion within fashion. He works closely with children with brain-based injuries and disabilities as a fashion director to provide creative outlets for the children to express their joy.

As a fashion director, his work also includes directing and styling fashion editorials for top magazines, shooting visual campaigns for brands and providing direction for various fashion creatives. Brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior & Hermés. In 2023 he released his first book, “Menswear Style Guide: New York City” to great reviews. In 2019, he launched his own luxury bespoke shoe and goods company, KenJeffreys - which has since been featured in Forbes for its unique design and business model.

Jeffrey was also recently named Fashion Director for Benco Dental’s Incisal Edge 40 Under 40 annual production and publication, As a lecturer, motivational speaker and thought leader in his field, Jeffrey is highly sought after around the industry for his expert style knowledge in menswear and for his expertise in personal image within beauty and grooming. He spends his time between New York City, London and Paris, where he directs, teaches and consults.
