CDR Smith received an MBA, Information Systems, from the Graduate School of Business & Public Policy, Naval Postgraduate School in 2014 and completed a M.S. Degree in National Security & Resource Strategy in June 2020, with focus in the Global Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy Concentration Program and the Energy Industry Study at National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C. He is a Graduate of the Advanced Course in Logistics and Technology from the Institute for
Defense and Business at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and holds the Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution credential from ASCM/APICS.
Jarrod is a life-long learner and self-proclaimed autodidact. His most current initiative is building out virtual wardroom programs for military officer mentorship and guidance
for military family life through the Liberty Accelerator Program because we all get our Liberty back eventually, and planning should’ve begun yesterday! His research thesis titled “Paradigm Change: What Is Mobilization Now? 21st Century Freedom Can’t Be Shaped Using the 20th Century Forge” was groundbreaking for the nation’s future efforts across the entire National Security Enterprise. He is also the author of the ground-breaking new paradigm book: Avoiding Each & Every Military Veteran's DIS-Advantage: How To Overcomes The LIES A Military Family Believes To Get Our Freedom Back
Jarrod and his wife, Jenny, also from Texas, stay busy with four kids ages 13, 12, 8, and6, who all enjoy outdoors exploration of hiking, beach outings, and historical site-seeing. Jarrod enjoys studying and discussing macro-economic matters over craft brews and clean red wines,
developments in the whole health and natural medicine markets, while also pursuing peak health through clean eating, weightlifting, bicycling and writing, because it paves the way
for the mind to engage in creative problem-solving in his interest areas of military family readiness, energy (power) resiliency, and supply chain/logistics challenges in the globally
connected and interdependent economies.
