James Liggett CPA received his B.S. in Accounting Accounting/Management Information Systems from the Drexel University. In addition, he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant to practice in the state of New York.
Liggett CPA worked for various large and medium sized companies, such as RBSM LLP, for almost 30 years. He co-founded two companies, MLZ Partners LLP and Outsource Partners International. He served as a partner at the New York office of Liggett & Webb P.A. until September 2020. Currently he serves as a managing director at Liggett, Melzer & Joshi CPAs P.C.
During his years in industry, Liggett CPA worked extensively with corporate consulting, private industry, and public accounting. In his own accounting practice he has been providing audit and management advisory services to a private and publicly held companies in different industries. Some of the industries include: software, telecommunications, technology services, financial services, bio-technologies, and wholesale/distribution.
In addition, Liggettt maintains a large clientele of individual clients whom he advises on taxes as well as preparing their personal and business income tax returns. In addition, he consults with high net worth individuals and Joint Defense Funds and assists them with their family office, tax planning and compliance needs.
