Bio

I'm Jacques, and I love solving problems by building products and bringing them to market.

As the co-founder and founding CTO of Stax, I was part of an incredible journey that has seen the fintech become the first startup from Orlando to reach Unicorn status!

We built an integrated payments platform that processes $23B in payments annually for 22,000 businesses, and grew the company from just 1 employee to a team of over 400 through organic growth and M&A. Stax has been recognized by Forbes, US News, Inc, Entrepreneur, and Money as a leading fintech, and we've raised over $300M in capital to fuel our growth.

I'm also the host of the "Taking Your Time" podcast and author of "Time Hacks."

I co-founded Orlando Devs, the largest developer meetup in Orlando, and The Assistance Fund, the second largest charity in the city according to Guidestar.

I'm passionate about building products that people enjoy while making them more productive.

In addition to my work at Stax, I'm a community advocate who speaks at events hosted by UCF, Rollins, Orlando Economic Partnership, Downtown Orlando Partnership, Orlando Chamber of Commerce, BarCamp, Starter Studio Tech Accelerator, and various meetups.

I invest in startups as an angel investor and advise various startups and technology boards in the Orlando area.

I love sharing my expertise in product strategy and scaling out product teams and infrastructure for growth.
