Originally qualified as a behavioural ecologist, after graduation Jackie spent two years helping to reintroduce chimpanzees to the wild in River Gambia National Park. Subsequently her career has meandered through different roles in nature conservation and economic regeneration to the present day and specialising in values and culture - still working with behaviour within a context but the jungle is much more concrete nowadays.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a member of the CMI Subject Matter Experts Group Jackie champions the part that values play in individual and collective performance and advocate for more consciously values based cultures in workplaces large and small.
Values are a golden thread through all types and sizes of organisation. Values are key to understanding the 'why' behind 'what' gets decided and acted upon. Jackie has been working with one of the world’s leading values profiling tools since 2005 employing it with individuals, groups, teams, consortia and partnerships. Frequently values consciousness positively changes working practice and performance and sometimes even literally transform lives.
While the theory of values and culture is interesting stuff, it is the everyday stories of real people and how values awareness can create meaning, increasing motivation, that audiences find really fascinating.
Jackie is excited to be a member of the steering group for the new Global Values Alliance representing her fellow directors from the Minessence International Cooperative.
