COMETRY, is a blend of comedy and poetry. We use entertainment to educate students on the topics of DIVERSITY, LEADERSHIP SKILLS, & SOCIAL SKILLS, EMPATHY TRAINING, MENTAL & EMOTIONAL HEALTH.

Our program G.R.A.V. teaches four concepts (Growth, Research, Approachability, Validation), & characteristics that makes an individual become GRAV...one that others gravitate towards!

Our program E.M.O.J.I teaches five concepts ( Expectations, Meaning, Observations, Join, Invest) & skills that speak to managing depression, anxiety, stress, and emotional health.

G.R.A.V.: Becoming a leader in a diverse world

We speak on diversity and do not isolate a particular group. We build an environment that becomes our safe haven for one hour. It's what we call 'edutainment' - using entertainment to educate. Our acronym G.R.A.V. encompasses four key concepts:
Growth: getting outside your comfort zone and learning how to live there
Research: learning about others until you understand the WHY behind their thoughts and behaviors
Approachability: being open to others learning about you, which may require getting outside your comfort zone
Validation: giving approval of others; developing the habit of making others around you more confident in themselves

Objectives:
The G.R.A.V program seeks to allow participants to achieve the following essential objectives:
Recognize, respect, and appreciate the differences in others
Learn to work effectively with different approaches to leadership
Communicate effectively with other cultures
Gain respect for different beliefs and viewpoints

E.M.O.J.I.: Unpacking the stigmas around mental & emotional health

To empower people of all ages to find comfort with talking to others about mental issues or concerns and provide them with the emotional acumen needed in order to make a positive impact with those around them.

Objectives:
Through the E.M.O.J.I. Program we seek to help audiences:
Recognize, respect, and appreciate emotional and mental differences in others
Gain an understanding of anxiety, stress, bipolar disorder, addiction, depression, and other mental health issues
Learn to identify and extract the reasoning behind certain emotional and mental patterns
Communicate your mental health triggers effectively, using emotional intelligence or EQ
Learn to understand the warning signs of suicide
Give practical tools to help manage mental and emotional stability
Learn how to create a support network
