Heather Matuszek, born on April 2, 1987, in Providence, Rhode Island, has flourished as an Executive Assistant within the Construction and Design industry in Florida. Her path from the Northeast to the warmer climates of Florida is filled with milestones that narrate her personal resilience and professional dedication.
In 1996, Heather moved to Stuart, Florida, where she and her sisters embraced a childhood rich with athletic endeavors. From an early age, Heather showed a keen interest in sports, participating in ice hockey and baseball, which laid the groundwork for her athletic involvement in school. At Martin County High School, she not only excelled in sports like softball, powderpuff flag football, and rowing but also displayed leadership qualities, serving as class vice president for two years.
Following high school, Heather attended Mercer University, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology, complementing her major with a minor in Leadership and Service. Her university experience was marked by her active involvement in Baptist Collegiate Ministries and intramural sports. Heather also dedicated herself to community service, shaping her character and leadership skills. One of her proudest academic moments was co-authoring a research paper published in the Journal of Morphology. Her time at university, however, was also shadowed by personal loss when her older sister passed away in a tragic accident, an event that profoundly influenced her personal and professional outlook.
After graduating, Heather returned to Florida, seeking comfort in proximity to her family during a challenging time. She initially worked as a substitute teacher and coached sports at the local high school, which allowed her to influence the next generation positively. Her professional journey took a pivotal turn in 2010 when she joined the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Heather's intrinsic leadership skills propelled her through the ranks, eventually leading her to managerial roles. She also leveraged her passion for sports by coaching softball at Jensen Beach High School.
In 2013, Heather transitioned to a new role in Largo, Florida, as the Director of Operations for a QSR. Her excellence in this capacity led to her involvement in a national Interim Manager program in 2014, tasked with overseeing the opening of new restaurant locations across the country. This role culminated in her appointment as Owner/Operator of a QSR in Clearwater, Florida, in 2016, which she managed until 2021.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Heather and her partner later ventured into real estate. They founded a cabinet design company and established Feather Lane Consulting LLC, focusing on restaurant business consulting and property management. Currently, as an Executive Assistant and Project Manager in the construction and design industry, Heather applies her leadership and operational skills to ensure the successful execution of various projects.
