Over the years, I have managed projects, products, hundreds of people, and served on many industry councils and boards. I have a passion for communicating complex technology solutions to end users in a fashion that is fun, easy to understand and immediately usable. Any state of the art tool, without the proper guidance on how to optimize its deployment, is basically useless.... and a waste of time, money, and resources. As the principal of Plum Unified Communications, I have been recognized as an industry expert in the conferencing, collaboration, and unified communications space. I have traveled the country to share the customer and business value of Microsoft’s Skype for Business, and was honored to deliver a TEDx Talk on Cloud Technology.
I am a passionate evangelist for the technologies that are now before us, and a focused student of those that lie ahead. I am currently on the faculty of CompTIA, the association advancing IT initiatives worldwide, and a former Microsoft facilitator for Brainstorm, Inc., the premier education company chosen exclusively by Microsoft to administer certification training to their partner network. Oh, and I wrote the book on Skype for Business... literally. Robert Crane, my co-author from Australia, and I painstakingly combed through every aspect of Skype for Business to deliver "Getting Started With Skype for Business Online", a 240-page guide designed to get the reader up and running quickly and efficiently. I have personally taught over 1,000 business professionals the fundamentals of Skype for Business, as well as Lync, it's predecessor.
