Georgiy Balyuk, when he was three, immigrated to the United States with his family. He was raised in the suburbs north of Chicago and now resides in Canton, Georgia. Georgiy Balyuk eagerly anticipates his second anniversary at State Farm in mid-2025, where he is deeply involved in developing software using cloud scaling technologies, artificial intelligence, and neural networks.
He is currently enrolled at DePaul University in Chicago, pursuing a Master’s in software development. His outstanding academic performance has placed him on the Dean's Board nearly every semester, and he is expected to graduate in the fall of 2025.
Before his tenure at State Farm, Georgiy Balyuk worked at Fiserv Inc. in Alpharetta, Georgia, from August 2021 to April 2023. His responsibilities included developing scalable applications using Java/Spring and microservice architecture within a CI/CD environment. His focus was on automation, enhancing high-scale pipelines, and facilitating rapid cloud deployment, which prepared him well for his current role.
Since April 2023, he has been employed at State Farm in Sandy Springs, Georgia. His primary duties involve designing and developing sophisticated AWS architecture solutions that improve performance and scalability. His work has led to significant advancements, including creating an internal application monitoring platform that has bolstered system reliability and streamlined operational workflows. He collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop innovative cloud solutions that boost efficiency and reduce costs.
Georgiy is also certified in Oracle Java SE 8 (OCA), which attests to his proficiency with Java programming fundamentals, including object-oriented principles, core syntax, and important APIs like collections and streams. This certification demonstrates his ability to manage modular applications, handle exceptions, and perform functional programming.
Georgiy has participated in various programming projects, including leading the development of a car rental platform and a restaurant data management system. He has also co-developed an internal configuration adapter that integrates diverse platforms.
Apart from his professional life, he is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring different cultures and cuisines, with a particular fondness for Savannah, Georgia, and the culinary scene in Houston. He knows the financial market and often advises friends and family on investment decisions. His hobbies include spending quality time with his Samoyed, watching films and TV shows, and collecting Pokémon cards.
