Francis Sedgwick Barassi was born in Tucson, Arizona, on January 11, 1967. In 2003, Francis took on a pivotal role at Convergys Corporation as the Director for LATAM North. Tasked with managing the sales team and establishing regional headquarters in Northern Latin America, his leadership was instrumental in driving significant sales growth. His strategic vision and effective management led to the profitable build-out of the regional headquarters.
Later that same year, Barassi transitioned to Edocs, Inc., where he served as the Director of Latin American Sales and Operations. In this capacity, he successfully opened the Latin American market for Edocs, generating a solid pipeline of prospects and closing significant contracts within his first year. His efforts were crucial in establishing Edocs' presence in the region, demonstrating his knack for driving growth and expanding business operations. His success at Edocs underscored his ability to thrive in new markets and laid the foundation for his future achievements.
In 2005, Francis joined Oracle Corporation, initially as the Regional Director for LACA—Self-Service. Here, he managed the integration of Doc's self-service products into the Sievel sales organization, achieving significant sales growth. His success in this role led to his appointment as the Applications Sales Director for the Communications Global Business Unit, where he achieved record sales and managed the most significant single license sale in CGBU history. From 2011 to 2017, he held various vice president roles at Oracle, including founding TOA Technologies' Latin America business, which experienced significant revenue growth under his leadership. Following Oracle's acquisition of TOA Technologies, he managed Oracle's field service business for Latin America and the Caribbean, achieving substantial growth in ACV bookings and expanding into new verticals.
In 2017, Francis Barassi took on the role of Vice President for Southern Europe at ClickSoftware. His efforts were pivotal in reorganizing Click's sales and account management organization in Southern Europe. Under his leadership, the company achieved notable successes, including signing new logos and managing key accounts.
