Bio

In his lectures on the human brain, our daily decisions and behavior, trust and leadership, he shows how to build trust and deploy trust from a social and sustainable perspective.

As a neuroscience researcher at the University of Groningen (Behavioral and Social Sciences, Cognitive Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology) and a master in virtual media and technology (Advanced Studies in New Media), he studies the effects of new technologies on our brain.

How do we make decisions in our consumer behavior, and how do we experience our life in the mental, physical and virtual world? How do we make what I call ‘The Leap of Faith?’ This is the trust to take action, sometimes developed in (milli)seconds and with little information.

These decisions revolving around the shortcuts (biases) in our brain. Therefore, the way we process cognitive information is key to understand human thinking and to predict future behaviors. However, the way we feel puts us into action. How is our behavior influenced by what we already know and trust?
