In my professional journey, I began my career as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Alongside my work in a private practice, I actively contributed to the London community by volunteering to provide oral health assessments and education to London's most vulnerable populations.
Throughout my professional journey, I have gained experience working under the Regulated Health Professions Act and served as a group insurance claims adjudicator. During my pursuit of a BHSc. degree, I focused extensively on Canadian health policy. This has led me to my true passion of working as a Group Benefits Advisor.
My unique background has allowed me to approach organizational wellbeing with perspective from several industry viewpoints. I actively contribute to the modernization of group benefits offerings. Recently, I have been engaged in lobbying insurance carriers to update the dependent life contact wording, which currently excludes loss from stillbirth and similar circumstances. I often bring unique solutions to my clients that provide meaningful change to the wellbeing of their people. I consistently advocate for employers, providing valuable assistance to help align their strategic vision with their organizations core values.
