Hi, my name is Elise.
I am a mental health speaker and advocate who is passionate about helping people to take care of their mental health. I have been speaking to students in schools about mental health for several years now with my talks ' it's okay to speak up', aimed at encouraging young people to speak up about their feelings.
In addition to my work in schools, I am also available to do a wide range of talks on mental health. Whether you are looking for advice on how to manage stress, strategies for dealing with anxiety and depression, or simply want to learn more about mental health, I am here to help.
As a mental health advocate, I believe that it is important to raise awareness about mental health issues and to break down the stigma that surrounds them. I am committed to helping people to feel more comfortable talking about their mental health and to providing them with the tools and resources to help support their mental health.
I have 10 years of lived experience of experiencing multiple mental Illnesses, which means I'm able to share my experience of how I overcame them/ how I manage them in my everyday life.
Currently, I am training to become a counsellor so that I can help even more people to overcome their mental health challenges. I believe that everyone deserves to have someone to talk to and to get the support they need when they are struggling
I also run a mental health platform on Instagram speakinguptoday aimed at destigmatising mental health, and talking about the human experience.
