Born in 1956, Dr Edgar Paltzer is an attorney-at-law at Paltzer Private Clients, Attorneys-at-Law in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr Paltzer studied law at the University of Zurich Law School, where he gained his bachelor’s degree in law in 1980. Dr Paltzer continued his studies in America, gaining an LL.M. master’s degree from New York University in1987. In 1989, Dr Paltzer received a Juris Doctoris degree with thesis in tax law, and in the same year he joined the Zurich-based Attorneys-at-Law firm, CMS von Erlach Henrici.
In 2008, Dr Paltzer gained a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Inheritance Law from the University of Zurich, and he has since been a Certified Specialist in SBA Inheritance Law of the Swiss Bar Association. Dr Paltzer has been awarded a number of honours and awards throughout his career, and he is a member of several professional associations including the International Bar Association, the Swiss Association of Trust Companies, The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, and the International Wealth Advisors Forum.
In his practice, Dr Paltzer offers his clients a range of services, with a strong focus on coaching in legal matters include estate management, such as the division of estate and executorship; estate planning, including prenuptial agreements, testaments, donations and inheritance; the structuring and legal maintenance of trusts and foundations; and philanthropy and art law.
