Bio

Drocella Mugorewera is the Founder of the Diversity IN Action Global Movement and #1 bestselling author. Raised in Rwanda, Drocella won a scholarship to the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences in Kyiv, Ukraine. Returning, she became a member of Parliament and Government, contributing to significant gender equality, and environmental changes. Her safety in jeopardy, in 2008 Drocella fled Rwanda alone, bravely beginning life anew in Tennessee. There the unstoppable leader received acclaim as the executive director of Bridge Refugee Services. Now a Diversity Consultant, and international speaker, Drocella uses her story and experience to help companies eliminate employee turnover and fuel productivity. Drocella serves as a board member of Oak Ridge Human resource Alliance Advisory Board. Drocella was recognized as one of Knoxville’s Difference Makers and Champions for Change by Church World Service and Community Shares. When she is not working, Drocella enjoys spending time with friends and family. Drocella speaks five languages.
