Roger J. Bindra is a well-renowned private practice pediatrician with decades of experience in the medical field. His passion to help others coupled with his mission to improve children’s health led him to a career in pediatrics. He is well-trained and received his board certification in 1997 after completing his residency training at Children's Hospital of Orange County. Dr. Bindra has worked in different capacities since starting his career. Upon completing his residency, he moved on to serve as an Associate staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and then at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. Dr. Bindra has also worked as Staff Pediatrician at Kids Doc Clinic and is a private practice pediatrician at the Children's Medical Group. He is a knowledgeable professional and has been awarded numerous scholarships to help pursue his academic accomplishments. He received the Albert Bijou scholarship, the UCD Annual Fund Scholarship, and the William James Foundation Scholarship. He received his credentials from some of the country's best institutions, starting with a degree in Biochemistry from U.C. Davis, where he graduated with honors. He then joined the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, where he graduated with a degree in Medicine. He received his residency training at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. He has an interest in allergy and asthma management and uses his skills to help children suffering from asthma. He is actively involved in his community and has been involved with the organizing committee of the American Lung Association in California, an association that organizes annual camps hosting hundreds of young people at its Southern California Asthma Management Program Camp, SCAMP camp. Many children attending the camp cannot participate in other summer camps because of the effects of severe asthma. SCAMP camp is a week-long residential camp that combines asthma education with traditional summer camp activities. Alongside other health professionals, Dr. Bindra helps children with asthma lead healthier and more active lives through SCAMP camp. The camp also gives the children an opportunity to learn together with their peers who have asthma.
