Dr. Nicole D. Bradford is an experienced administrator that has spent the last 20 years dedicating her life to the improvement of student life and education.
Dr. Bradford’s experience in higher education began at Huston-Tillotson College where she served as a staff member in the Upward Bound Program in 1996, and continued on to Prairie View A&M University where she served as the Developmental Reading and Writing Coordinator and managed a staff of eight faculty members while managing two developmental labs established to assist with the transition from high school into higher education. Dr. Bradford has worked in the private sector, private institutions, community colleges and state institutions. Her experiences include several years of successful progressive responsibilities in student affairs, academic affairs, budget management, grant writing, managerial experience and enrollment growth.
Dr. Bradford has worked at Texas A&M University where she managed the Aggie Honor System Office under the direction of Dr. Robert Gates. Dr. Bradford has served as a staff member, faculty member, and administrator for several years and while at Prairie View A&M University she was fortunate to receive a promotion that allowed her to serve as the Core Curriculum Coordinator in the President’s Office under the leadership of Dr. James Mackin, Special Assistant to the President. In addition, Dr. Bradford has served as the Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Diversity Programs at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she secured a grant in the amount of $80,000 that will benefit current and future underrepresented students. After returning to Texas she served as the Academic Dean at Everest College where she managed a staff of seventy individuals which included two Associate Deans, a librarian, four department chairs, and the registrar.
Dr. Bradford has also served as the Vice President of Student Development Services at Tarrant County College. She was welcomed into the TCC family by Dr. Ernest Thomas, and she provided leadership for student support services including the Counseling Center, Career & Transfer Center, Testing Center, Student Activities, Health Services, Disability Support Services, Community Outreach, and the Coordinator for Student Support Services
Her most recent assignment as the Assistant Principal of Braswell High School has bestowed her with the ability to coordinate all local and state testing, participate in the development of campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members, confers with teachers, students, parents and community concerning educational and behavioral concerns in school, and directs preparation of class schedules, cumulative records and attendance reports.
Dr. Bradford is no stranger to opposition and challenges, and she is a very passionate leader that takes pride in utilizing her experiences to motivate and encourage others. She is one of six kids, and a first generation college graduate.
