Dr. Rasheed is a seasoned speaker with an interest in sharing speech and presentation strategies to students and professionals for excellent connection with the audience. His philosophy to public speaking is that there is a science in understanding your audience and in controlling what they think, feel, and act during and after your speech or presentation. So, why suffer your audience when you can learn and practice the best strategies to make a perfect connection with them.
Always remember to be kind to your audience because they may forget what you told them, but they will never forget how you make them feel.

Academically, Dr. Rasheed is an experienced lecturer (more than 7 years) at the Civil Engineering Department of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. A registered engineer with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scientist (RS) in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He has a strong interest in developing and applying computational modelling to solve water-related problems.
During his Ph.D. degree in UTP, Dr. Abdurrasheed has published more than 20 research papers, one (1) patent filed, won six (6) academic research grants. He has participated in more than ten (10) international exhibitions and won medals with a GOLD medal from the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition, (ITEX) and a winner of Shell Malaysia's best video speech. He represented UTP as a delegate to the 10th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) organized by Humanitarian affairs Asia and has earned a Certificate of knowledge in leadership by the African leadership institute.
In terms of extracurricular activities, he is a former president of the Postgraduate Student’s Society of Civil and Environmental Engineering (PGSCEE-UTP). He is a member of the 2020 line-up of the Postgraduate Student’s Council (PGSC-UTP) in charge of the training and development bureau.
