Douglas Hoehn, originating from Wyckoff, New Jersey, brought his leadership skills to the forefront during his 12-year tenure as chair of the Communications Department. One of his crowning achievements was the authorship of "Understanding Communication," a textbook widely adopted by over 100 colleges and universities. In addition to his professional achievements, he was deeply involved in animal welfare. As a Ramapo Bergen Animal Rescue Association volunteer, he dedicated his time and resources to rescuing needy animals, showcasing his compassionate nature and commitment to community service.
In retirement, he took on a new challenge: writing a book on the history of the English language. This project is a testament to his unwavering passion for education and desire to continue contributing to the world of knowledge.

Douglas Hoehn of Wyckoff NJ, found a litter of 4 kittens that had been dropped in his neighborhood on a cold night on February 7th and was able to rescue them, get them warm, and the next day place them with The Bergen Ramapo Rescue Association. Allen kittens are now available for adoption at the center in Oakland."
Announcement: Wyckoff New Jersey resident, Doug Hoehn, will be hosting the tenth annual adoption drive for the Bergen County Pet Rescue Drive. Last year over 100 dogs and cats were adopted and found forever homes. Hoehn said he hopes to exceed that number this year.
