As a former almost 500 lb male who struggled with morbid obesity for over 30 years, I took back my life in 2017 when I decided to have bariatric surgery and it completely changed my life in ways I never imagined.
I lost 250 lbs in 15 months, and I re-dedicated my life to telling my weight loss story in the hopes it will help others. Losing weight is a physical bi-product of getting ones mental struggles with food in-check.
Everyone is different, By the nature of us being individuals no two of us are alike. This is why diets don't work for everyone. It's why surgery isn't for everyone, its why exercise doesn't respond equally for everyone.
So how do we help folks overcome obesity and their health issues related to being overweight?
I believe it starts by helping each other. By sharing my story, and by sharing with you what I've done, what worked for me, and what didn't work for me.... perhaps you can pick and choose what might work for you.
What makes me unique and different is I'm an open book. No topic is to personal, no question to private for me to discuss. I'm willing to hang it all out to dry in the hopes you'll see how you can potentially change your own life for the better.
We like to believe that our situations are so unique and so private to us that no one else could ever relate to what I'm going through. The truth is, we are wrong. There are hundreds, if not thousands of people struggling with the EXACT same struggles you are, and I can introduce them to you and their stories.
In 2018, I started a social media movement called WeighInRadio. It's a monthly podcast dedicated to motivating, inspiring and educating others on how to change their own life.
I interview other weight loss patients, authors, doctors, physicians, nutritionists, surgery patients, fad dieters, or anyone else we can get on air regardless of their method used.
We leave no stone un-turned and the knowledge and information is shared to inspire, educate, motivate, and inform you in the hopes it will assist you in regaining control of your own life so you can be successful in battling your own weight loss demons.
