Didem Tali is a multi-award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and a TED speaker. Her collaborations included the New York Times, National Geographic, BBC, CNN, NPR, Financial Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, and many more.
Didem’s reporting of human rights issues around the world and passion for nuanced, character-driven storytelling won her many international recognitions including awards from the United Nations, British Council, Oxfam, and others.
Didem shared her manifesto for journalism and storytelling in her TED talk entitled “Staying Sane When News Hurt”.
As of 2021, she’s been developing Sanity Feed, a journalism app to help news consumers diversify their media diets, as a LEDE Fellow at the Solutions Journalism Network.
Didem is passionate about journalism, human rights, and digital wellness, and regularly speaks about the intersection of the three.
