Derrick’s entrepreneurial journey began at 16 with a lawn care business while Ashley was working the family business. This lead them to the purchase of Express Employment Professionals in 2007, just before the recession. Despite challenges, their resilience and strategic leadership drove the company's growth. In 2010, facing a 62% revenue drop, they revitalized the business with innovative sales strategies, achieving a remarkable 150% growth by 2012.
Their mantra, "There is nothing in business sales won't fix," guided them through adversity. Every year since 2017, they've consistently surpassed milestones, earning prestigious awards like Circle of Excellence in Express, with a gross margin exceeding $1.3 million yearly.
