Bio

Dena Jackson is an award-winning Wellness Speaker and Comedian. She uses a comedic approach in her talks to help educate audiences on the benefits of mindfulness practices to help with burnout, fatigue, goal setting and leadership. She holds certifications in both yoga and mindfulness instruction and hosts a wellness podcast on Spotify that shares helpful mental health practices with listeners.

Her work has been featured on the TED Official site, CBC and the Beaverton and she’s performed at clubs and festivals throughout North America including Just for Laughs, the New York Comedy Festival and at Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club in Las Vegas. Her debut album, Blue Lights reached number one on the iTunes Comedy Charts and can be regularly heard on SiriusXM Radio.

From Mindless to Mindful

This keynote addresses how to take care of our mental health through the practice of mindfulness. Dena shares useful mobile apps and exercises that we can all apply to our everyday routines to improve our overall wellness. By sharing realistic examples of how we can practice mindfulness at work, on the train and while walking this talk shares how to come back to the present moment in a way that sticks.

Achieving Your Goals With Mindfulness

This talk is specifically designed for corporate pros and anyone struggling to stay motivated during these challenging times. This talk will discuss how incorporating a daily mindfulness practice will not only improve mental and physical health, but it will act as a major pillar in reaching personal and professional goals in a healthy and uplifting way.

Heal Your Emotions, Unblock Your Potential

This get Un-stuck talk discusses how to process emotions that can get in the way of our success. Dena draws on her work as a storyteller and comedian (CBC, Just for Laughs) with carefully selected jokes and topics that share honest truths while sharing wellness tools to help with healing emotions. We will engage in interactive mindfulness exercises, breathwork and EFT tapping with an added bonus of laughter.

Hatha Yoga Class

A one hour hatha yoga class that explores the fundamental postures which include standing, bending/twisting and back bends. We will work together with our breath, allowing mindfulness to be present throughout our practice and conclude with a guided meditation. (Available as a single yoga class or five class pass).

Introduction to Mindfulness

Five introductory classes that explore the fundamentals required to incorporate mindfulness into daily life. This includes leanring how to develop a regular practice to lower anxiety and stress while assisting with goal setting. Each class will begin with a guided practice that students can take home and incoproate into their routines.
