Deanna Slamans

Deanna Slamans is a public speaker, author, educator and the co-owner of the Amazing Freedom Amazon Sellers Group.

Prior to partnering with her husband as an entrepreneur, Deanna was the Curriculum Supervisor for Social & Emotional Learning at the Milton Hershey School (a boarding school for needy children located in Hershey, PA).

She is an educator, conference speaker and workshop leader for children and adults. Before becoming an administrator at MHS, Deanna and her husband, Andy, were full-time houseparents at the school for 14 years, helping to raise 100 middle and high school age boys.

As much as Deanna loves to write, she is especially passionate about her relationship with God and speaks from her trials, hurts, and successes, knowing that in those moments God has drawn very near to listen to and be present with her. Deanna's transparency and encouragement keep conference attendees and workshop participants wanting to learn more and grow deeper in their faith. Deanna's passion for God's word has allowed her to teach in home Bible Studies and record DVD studies for women.

Deanna holds a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from Temple University and a Bachelor's Degree in Radio, TV & Film from Messiah College. Deanna was fortunate enough to be a student at the Milton Hershey School--from 8th-12th grade and graduated in 1991.

Deanna is the author of a memoir titled, "Faith's Pursuit: Understanding God's Faithfulness in Suffering", and "The House That Chocolate Built: Parenting at the Sweetest Boarding School on Earth", a story about her family's career while houseparenting at Milton Hershey.

Deanna also appears on the "Genesis of Woman" Bible Study series produced by Real Women of the 21st Century and the "Living Better" series which is a DVD study for incarcerated women. Deanna has also appeared on the Harvest Television Show that aired on July 6.

Deanna lives with her husband, Andy and their two children, Korri and AJ, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
