Deann Butler

Wild dreams and crazy ideas led Deann Butler to create Connected Consultants. She spent years crafting a solid career and continuing her education in healthcare and organizational learning. Along the way, she was fortunate to build relationships with some of the smartest women in the world. There was something missing. All the women had the determination to get a seat at the table and the realization it is harder than it looks. Finally, in 2020, she said enough talk! It’s time to come together as a collective, each with our own specializations, and make sure our voice is heard in order to help the communities we serve.

Lookup a life-long learner and you will find a picture of Deann. She has always been passionate about learning and ambitious to take in as much information as possible. She has attained several degrees (BS, MA, MBA, MHA) over the years with a focus on gaining a deep understanding of the healthcare field and organizational learning. Additionally, she is a Doctoral Candidate at the Medical University of South Carolina focusing on organizational learning and development in healthcare organizations. Her current doctoral project is focused on defining structural racism and its domains in healthcare. Her continued education has allowed her to work with mission driving organizations such as Planned Parenthood, American Cancer Society, NARAL, Humana, and Cityblock Health. In each company, her passion is bringing education to associates and to the community. to lead with conviction as an advocate for learning opportunities your associates will love.

As a servant leader, Deann’s goal is to make sure people have the opportunity, encouragement, and motivation to learn. . Connected Consultants currently offers a variety of services including consulting services (Connected Consultants), a coaching program for aspiring healthcare consultants (Becoming the Consulting Connect), a podcast (The Healthcare Connector), monthly networking events (The Healthcare Mingle) and speaking engagements that amplify her voice in healthcare (You Are the Next Consulting Connect and A Shared Understanding of Structural Racism is Necessary to Address Health Disparities.
