Bio

Dea grew up in a small MS town and knows the value of living in real community. After living in five different states during her married life, she has felt the pains of not being in community and the joys of belonging. She has built community in her home with their eight children, in the churches she and her husband pastored, in her tea room for seven years and in her current real estate business with her clients. Dea has a passion to address the issue of loneliness that 3 of 4 people say they feel.

Claimed

Real community is not just being connected but being claimed. Dea starts with her hometown experience of belonging to discovering not everyone lives such a life. What does it take to create an atmosphere of real community? Being CLAIMed. She explains what this means and offers at least three manageable calls to actions.

Straight Arrows

The goal of Christian parenting is to prepare children to be straight arrows that can be released to hit the target God has created for them. This presentation includes strategies for teaching children to live a God-conscious life and become Obedient Rebels (obedient to the Word of God and rebelling against the pressures of the world).

Molding Global Citizens

With personal examples and stories, Dea talks about how parents can give their children a passion for the world. If they become Kingdom minded, they will be global citizens.

Supporting Visionary Dreamers

Parents have the power to make or break a child's dreams. With personal stories, Dea covers basic principles for parents to encourage their children to reach their potential.

  • Dea is an exciting and entertaining speaker, no matter what her subject is. I have heard her speak on several occasions on several subjects, from comedy to serious matters, and always came away knowing I had an enjoyable learning experience.

  • What you shared was so amazing. You are a gift-the depth of your experience as a mom of 8, wife of pastor, entrepreneur, and business woman give you a depth of wisdom from which everyone can relate. I am amazed at how you have let God completely re-define you in so many different ways. It is like each different role is another “cut” in a diamond making you sparkle and shine for Jesus in a unique and beautiful way. You were funny, engaging, profound, encouraging and heartfelt as a speaker. You were by far the best speaker of the year and one of the best female speakers that I have heard because of your depth of experience, your wisdom, and your dramatic storytelling. You had us laughing and crying in the same moment. You exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I also appreciated that you took time to talk to ladies before, during and after the event. Thank you, thank you for the wonderful gift of YOU and for sharing out of all you have been through.

  • Dea's expertise is in stirring the heart. She makes you feel like you're the most important and at the same time her wisdom reminds you, you're not alone. My most favorite of Dea's speeches is her one about CLAIMING. Don't miss it!
