David Kolodny is an entrepreneur based in Miami, Florida, and the Co-Founder of Wilbur Labs, a startup studio that turns bold ideas into market-leading companies.
Current Role:
David launched Wilbur Labs with Phil Santoro in 2016. Since then, he has guided the creation and expansion of more than 21 companies – including VacationRenter, which became the fastest-growing travel startup to reach $1 billion in annual gross bookings, and Barkbus, the nation’s fastest-growing mobile dog-grooming service. Today, ventures built out of Wilbur Labs reach hundreds of millions of people across ecommerce, travel, recruiting, pet care, and financial services.
Previous Experience:
Before starting Wilbur Labs, David spent several years at Google (2013–2016), where he worked as a Product Specialist on the Customer Solutions & Innovations team, focusing on product strategy and go-to-market execution.

David is widely regarded for his expertise in building and scaling companies. He co-hosts the “Wilbur Labs Founder FAQ” video series with Phil Santoro, sharing insights and practical guidance for entrepreneurs. He is a contributing author for outlets such as Inc., Fast Company, and Entrepreneur Magazine, and he was included on the 2020 Forbes “30 Under 30” list in Consumer Technology.
Education:
David graduated from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2013.
