Bio

Daniel Lux is an entrepreneur and a scientist. He has an international background as a German national, currently living in Denmark, and studied Computer Science in Groningen in Holland.

He is co-founder of Seluxit, which contributes to energy efficiency through a technology known as the Internet of Things. In 2018 Seluxit was listed on Nasdaq First North Copenhagen.

Daniel is the inventor of 6 patents in different fields such as radio technology, cryptography, and energy saving.

Since 2008 Daniel has been studying the connection between indoor climate, CO₂, and our wellbeing. This interest resulted in a book about how climate change in general and CO2, in particular, affect the human body and mind. Particularly the question of why CO₂ has such a significant impact on the human body, even at low concentrations, wouldn’t let him rest.

3 Ways IoT Supports the Circular Economy

Daniel Lux explains how the Internet of Things can
support the transition towards a Circular Economy.

A move from CAPEX-based business models to OPEX-based business models would support
a Circular Economy by enabling the sharing of pro-
ducts. The IoT, thus, plays a crucial role in the sharing
economy because it allows monitoring of the use and
the quality of the shared products, to predict
maintenance and to extend their lifetime. Moreover,
the IoT postpones the end of products’ useful life, as
new functionalities can be added over time, which
can even enable adapting products for entirely new
purposes.
