Dana Lynn Kerns (aka Dana Lynn) was born and raised in
St. Louis, MO. She attended Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School and continued her education at Lincoln University (MO) from 2002-2005 where she studied Psychology.
After giving birth to her daughter in the summer of 2005, she transferred back home to continue her college education at University of Missouri-St.Louis (UMSL) where she studied Clinical Child Education until falling ill with seizures and strokes in December of 2006.
For the past five years, Ms. Dana Lynn has held the position of CEO for Rich Girls, Real Women Inc, a nonprofit mentoring organization for elementary, middle and high school girls in
the St. Louis City and County; in addition, she serves as an advocate at the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas City after experiencing her own dilemma.
In 2016 Ms. Dana Lynn became responsible for being the
St. Louis host to a spiritual group of women called Brunch and Bible created by B. Marcell Williams. Under Dana Lynn’s leadership, Rich Girls, Real Women Inc. launched their first event in 2016 called Prom in St. Louis, an annually event that helps families with junior and senior girls who cannot financially afford the necessities for prom. The program has helped a total of 45 girls in the past three years and hopes to increase the number to 100 by 2020.
As if she has enough on her plate, Dana Lynn is an active member on the PTA at her daughter’s school and helps with the organization Parent University, which gives tips for new parents. Dana Lynn’s work with Rich Girls, Real Women Inc. has involved her in such partnerships and other works including having her programs at Sportse Camp organized by Summer Bradley, a panelist for Where Girls Meet & Brunch, official after-school program for the Renaissance Place at Grand Apartments community center and a curriculum at KIPP Triumph’s Saturday school.
On June 17, 2017 Dana Lynn graduated from the Grace Women’s Business Center (WIBO)
program. Dana Lynn maintains high standards for herself as well as those she works with, always quietly providing the necessary support to help her peers and students succeed.
She recently launched her first book in 2019 adding "author" to an already long list of titles
