Beyond the Immediate: Turning Triggers into Opportunities for Connection

Conflict doesn’t begin with words, it begins with reactions. In this powerful and practical session, Crystal helps leaders look beneath the surface of tension to understand what’s really being triggered in moments of conflict. Participants learn how emotional responses (both their own and others’) shape communication, influence decision-making, and often escalate situations before the real issue is even discussed.

Through relatable examples, reflective exercises, and evidence-based tools, Crystal guides audiences to recognize their emotional patterns, manage reactions in real time, and turn difficult moments into opportunities for trust and connection.

Outcomes:

Identify personal and team triggers that derail communication

Understand how emotions influence behaviour and decision-making during conflict

Apply de-escalation strategies to reduce tension and guide conversations toward constructive resolution

Great Hire to Regret: What Really Turns Good Employees Toxic

Every hire you make seems like a great fit... But when performance dips, attitudes shift, or tension grows, leaders often ask, “What’s wrong with that person?”

The real question is often, “What’s happening in the environment that’s allowing this to take root?”

In this eye-opening session, Crystal unpacks how well-intentioned, capable employees can become disengaged, defensive, or even toxic when team dynamics or leadership gaps go unaddressed. She helps leaders peel back the layers to see the systems, signals, and stressors that shape behavior and what can be done to intervene early.

Through real-world examples and practical frameworks, audiences learn to spot early warning signs, address root causes, and prevent costly culture erosion before it begins.

Outcomes:

Recognize how workplace environments shape behavior and fuel dysfunction

Identify early warning signs that a great team member is starting to disengage

Apply strategies to prevent costly culture erosion
