Cecilio Mills is a husband, father of three, son of a Panamanian mother and Costa Rican father, giver of knowledge, and a project management ninja. Cecilio is also a Speech and Debate Champion, Golden Glove’s champion, and collegiate baseball player, and teacher.
Cecilio has an analytical skill set and the proven ability to innovate and contribute quality, productivity, and process improvements with documented success and results. He combines creative thinking with a disciplined, calculated approach to architect solutions for clients.
Cecilio has experience managing complex and technical projects and implementing programs at home and overseas. With recognized strengths in leadership and communication, he works well with people of all levels and abilities.
Cecilio is the President & Principal Consultant for Creative Adaptive Thinking. He has served as Senior Program Manager for Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTTi3) R&D Cloud Development Platform and Global Infrastructure and IT Facilities Project Manager for Polycom. Also, Cecilio has helped realize success with multiple agencies delivering construction, county government, non-profit, and educational project management.
Cecilio holds a BS in Business and earned a teaching credential completing a Masters in Education Program. He is an Agile Certified Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), and has authored an Asset Management and Business Process Patent. Cecilio coaches project managers, facilitates project management certification courses and helps firms to develop and strengthen their Project & Program Management Offices.
When not involved in Project Management, Cecilio, better known as CJ, is at Pacific Ring Sports as the assistant Boxing Trainer helping to introduce people to the sport of boxing, explain the fundamentals, and teach the science. He holds classes for people coming to push themselves to new places and is honored to share passion and commitment with many talented and wonderful individuals. In 2011, he became a Golden Gloves Champion, and in 2012, he became a National Tournament Regional Champion participating in the Olympic Trials.
CJ also works with Soulciety Non-Profit Organization to fight against poverty and provide youth with access to technology. Each year he takes a trip to the Philippines to do mission work bringing books, computers, hygiene supplies, and shoes to help with the cause. He developed a system for refurbishing hundreds of donated PCs, managing shipping and logistics, & designing and conducting technology training for instructors.
Next year’s program includes constructing three computer labs in the Philippine Islands. The labs will have a capacity for 30 users with devices sourced from donated equipment rehabbed by IT professionals from various trade schools throughout the Bay Area.
