March 2007, Carmella preached her first sermon and was licensed as a minister. God has given Carmella the gift of encouragement. She has a heart for those who have been broken, hurt, beaten down by society, family and their own selves. She has a heart for women. She wants them to know not to give up on themselves and to live out their dreams and be the person they were created to be. Carmella strives for excellence in every aspect of her life and businesses. She has a passion to see this world healed by knowing their worth and walking in wholeness and the wisdom of God. To contribute to Carmella’s passion, she was divinely inspired to share her story of being a two time teenage mother and the struggles she faced but was able to overcome and not be a statistic. Her book “Against All Odds Life Beyond The Limits” is power packed and is full of encouragement to young women not to give up and to embrace who they are and live out their God given purposes.
Carmella is also an Army veteran who carries a wide range of experience from accounting to real estate. She is married to the love her life Mr. Johnnie L. Upshur and a mother of five children and a grandmother to five grandchildren (who are her world and heartbeats).
