Bathabile K.S. Mthombeni, J.D., MSLOD, PCC is an ICF certified coach, organizational ombudsperson, mediator, and the founder and principal of Untangled Resolutions. She provides dynamic presentations and workshops that inspire epiphany and understanding of inclusion in practice.
She also hosts TheH8Show, a podcast that brings together people whose have contrasting beliefs to demonstrate how to connect across differences.
A cum laude graduate of Princeton University with an A.B. in sociology, Bathabile earned her law degree from Columbia University and her Masters in Leadership and Organizational Development from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has been mediating since 2004 and holds a PCC certification from the International Coaching Federation.
Bathabile was born under Apartheid in South Africa and has spent her life personally confronting systemic challenges that arise from power inequities and marginalization.
As a dynamic and gifted speaker, trainer, and coach she combines humor and her backgrounds in interest-based mediation, non-violent communication, inclusion and belonging, and positive psychology to create unique and transformational experiences for her audiences and private clients.
She has developed and presented numerous well-received presentations and workshops and she has been a valued panel member at conferences on negotiation, conflict management, and diversity.
Her speaking engagements have included the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, the New York State Organization of Bursars and Business Administrators (keynote address), the New York State Bar Association, and presenting workshops at Princeton University, Columbia University, Binghamton University, John Jay College, Syracuse University, and Southwestern Law School.
Ms. Mthombeni is also human companion to her beloved pack of seven furry friends. She is a traveler, podcaster, singer/songwriter/guitarist, and a yarn crafter who loves to perform on New York City’s subway platforms, crochet, and live in a tent.
