My name is Barb Basaj, and I am a mindset coach and the founder of Come Alive LLC. I guide peace-loving parents in reducing the drama with their kids using the ACES method. I do this work because I’ve found that now more than ever, the state of the world is pushing kids toward anxiety by the time they’re teenagers, and it’s up to us parents to give them the support they’ll need in staying resilient. But we can’t do that if we’re feeling run down, indecisive, and ineffective.
I’m a mother of teenage twins who even as babies seemed to be somewhat anxious. This led me to dig into studying neuroscience, personal development, and calming the nervous system over the last 10 years. For five of those years I was a Coaching The Body practitioner, helping over 300 adults with muscle tension feel relaxed and comfortable in their own skin, while coaching them in reducing the emotional effects of stress.
But of all of the tension-taming strategies I’ve tried, the one that made the biggest difference for me was learning to create an empowered mindset within myself. That is why in 2021 I became certified as a transformational mindset facilitator, and from that I created the ACES approach, so I could work with parents who dream of creating peaceful families but are running into obstacles. Once they learn the skills I teach in my Peaceful Power in Parenting program, most parents find that they have more control over their family dynamics than they ever realized.
