Beginning his career in New York, Babak merged his technical skills with the film industry, serving as Digital Growth Manager at the United Nations and contributing to the Society of Motion Pictures & Television Engineers (SMPTE). As Executive Producer of the Take Two Film Festival, he led its digital transformation, fostering key partnerships with universities and advancing innovative production processes.
Currently an IT Manager at Netflix, Babak oversees Studio Technology operations across EMEA, managing proprietary software that supports production and post-production workflows. His team integrates cutting-edge digital tools to drive operational excellence, collaborating globally to enhance efficiency through data analysis and innovative problem-solving.
Babak is also an active public speaker, having delivered talks at tech conferences and academic institutions such as the School of Visual Arts, Queens College, and the University of Amsterdam Business School’s MBA Program.
