Bio

I can help you figure out the future of your business by harnessing the current pace of change, identifying the opportunities it presents, stimulating innovation and transformation, disrupting, agitating, leading and inspiring groups and individuals through keynotes, ideation sessions, workshops, events and briefings through to board level.

As the former Vice President of Technology Research for Visa Europe, I am experienced in building Global Innovation and Scanning & Scouting capabilities, frequently working with organisations developing their own idea incubation labs or in-house foresight and trends tracking services, in teams across Europe including UK & Ireland, the Nordics, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and further afield including Turkey, UAE, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa and the USA.

I spend the bulk of my time curating volumes of news, research and information across a diverse range of sources in order to stimulate ideas and fuel innovation through actionable insight. I am focussed on driving technological transformation of the bottom line, leveraging the impact of current and emerging technology trends on society, industry and individuals.

I am heavily involved in the startup community (currently mentoring at Startupbootcamp) where my focus is business model and product proposition development.

In addition to engaging and energetic keynotes on "The Future of Technology and Virtually Everything", I run half or full day innovation stimulation workshops using storytelling as a metaphor for future scenario planning and product ideation.

I firmly believe that if you don't write your own story of how you would like to see the future unfold, you will be reading about it as history made by someone else, so let's work together to create the next bestseller!

Turbulent Times

The technology fuelled future is both frightening and fascinating in equal measure. Andrew will cover the disruptive trends that are impacting business models and transforming our behaviours while providing insights into the implications these will have on you and your industry.

Andrew’s engaging, storytelling style will reduce the audience’s fear of the future, helping them to embrace change and open their minds to new and exciting opportunities. They will be motivated, questioned, challenged and inspired, leaving the session with a new outlook on what lies ahead.

Igniting Innovation Initiatives

To become an innovative organisation, department or individual, you have to think beyond the “idea funnel” approach adopted by so many organisations.

This colourful, high energy session introduces a metaphor that provides an overview of the wide range of activities that will get the entire organisation inspired and involved in moving the dial from “innovation is something done over there” to “WE are all innovative!”.

This works at the level of a small team, through a department or division, out to an entire organisation, regardless of it’s size. The feedback has been great so far – I’ve even had a COO recount 2 instances of staff behaviour change that had a positive impact on their business within a few hours of the session!

Technology is driving change at an unprecedented pace! Our appetite for technology adoption (perhaps even addiction?) seems to show no bounds. Consumer behaviour is changing as a direct result and so are their expectations of organisations they interact with.
