Bio

Andrew Sykes is a global keynote speaker, behavioral researcher, and CEO of Habits at Work, where he helps leaders and sales teams unlock their two greatest competitive advantages: trust and habits. He’s also a Lecturer at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he teaches Entrepreneurial Selling—consistently ranked as one of the top business school classes in the U.S.

Andrew has spoken on six continents (Antarctica, he’s looking at you!) for companies like Google, Merck, Subaru, and Allstate, helping their people become more trustworthy, persuasive, and high-performing—one habit and one conversation at a time.

He is the co-author of The 11th Habit and is currently writing The Trust Advantage, a book about how the world’s most successful leaders and organizations intentionally build trust through the daily promises they make—and keep.

In his spare time, Andrew writes poetry, makes unreasonable promises to his future self, and dreams of the speaking engagement that will complete his seven-continent tour.

The Trust Advantage

How to Be the Most Trusted Leader, Advisor, or Brand in the Room

Trust isn’t just a value—it’s your greatest strategic asset. This keynote explores how trust is built (and lost), how to repair it, and how to become the most trusted person in every room. Audiences leave with tools to lead, sell, and serve in ways that create lasting loyalty and influence.

Creative Conversations

How to Speak Your Preferred Future Into Existence

Every leader and salesperson is paid to have conversations that create progress. This session introduces five essential conversation types that build trust, foster alignment, and drive results—from first impression to long-term relationship.

The Responsible Promise Habit

How to Make Promises That Build Trust and Drive Results

Trust is earned (or eroded) in everyday micro-moments—especially the promises we make and keep. This hands-on session teaches the six-part structure of a Responsible Promise and how to align with the spoken and unspoken expectations that define world-class leadership and service.

Habits & Contexts: The Blueprint for Who We Become

How to Shape Identity, Culture, and Performance One Tiny Behavior at a Time

You don’t have habits—your habits have you! In this high-energy session, Andrew challenges the myth of fixed personality and shows how habits create identity, performance, and culture. He shares the science behind habit formation, how to break through plateaus, and how to build high-trust, high-performance teams one behavior at a time. Then, he introduces Context Design—the overlooked force shaping everything we do. Learn how to structure the environments around you to make the right actions the easy default, not the uphill battle. It's habit change that actually works—for individuals, leaders, and entire organizations.

The Power of Story

How stories change minds and inspire purpose

Forget persuasion. Stories don’t just convince — they connect, inspire, guide and unlock greatness in others. Andrew shows how stories carry the emotional weight that facts can’t and gives you the structure to tell business stories that inspire trust, shape culture and move people into action. While trust is the foundation for performance, storytelling is the rocket fuel of leadership, sales and a life of adventure!
