Bio

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Alyssa Ramos-Reynoso earned a B.A. in political science and graduated magna cum laude from Arcadia University with Phi Alpha Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Delta honors. She conceptualized the idea of building an environmentally sustainable school at the age of 15 because she envisioned a world where each human being was empowered via education, while fostering environmental stewardship. Her personal experience overcoming homelessness and her time abroad clarified her vision. She interned for Parvati Swayamrojgaar, a micro-finance organization working to break the poverty cycle in the slums of India, taught English at an orphanage in Tanzania, and facilitated the establishment of the Women’s Witness Protection Program for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.

STORYTELLING FOR LEADERSHIP: MAKING AN IMPACT WITH WORDS

STORYTELLING FOR LEADERSHIP: MAKING AN IMPACT WITH WORDS. I explained the 4 parts of the Public Narrative Model (Develop your Personal Story, Community Story, Call to Action and Act out your Story) to empower students towards leadership. Leave with the tools to create your own story of advocacy and transform those words into real global change.

Living Your Passion: Creating and Developing in Nonprofits

I explore the following topics during this speaking engagement that can also be structured as an interactive workshop: how to start a nonprofit, how to engagement volunteers, develop their mission statement, vision statement, name, obtain an EIN, draft a business plan, and how to engage millennials. I also provided my audience and clients with a checklist and one-on-one coaching.

It is all about Time (Self) Management

Time management is at the core to career success. I know students are motivated, but in the midst of writing papers, taking exams, and running extracurricular activities, we get lost. We get stressed. We find it hard to find balance. As a Millennial that graduated from college with honors in 2012, I get it. I was working 80 hours a week and my health started to suffer. I made changes and currently

How to engagement volunteers?

As the CEO of Schools for Sustainability, I recruited and engage 80 volunteers from many backgrounds (education, accounting, law, engineering, and architecture) to share their time in establishing a sustainable world. I share my secrets on how I recruited such a skilled and diverse team of volunteers. I also share tips on how to keep them engaged, through proper team management.

How to engage millennials?

Why engage millennials? It costs an average of $24,000 to replace each Millennial employee. Globally, by 2025, 3 out of 4 workers will be Millennials. Average tenure for Millennials is 2 years, compared to 5 years for Gen X and 7 years for Baby Boomers. As a Millennial with experience leading and training them, I can help your company attract and retain from the ever rising millennials workforce.

You Can Study Abroad Too!

I share my two experiences abroad for 6 month in both India and Tanzania, and how it changed my life. In India, I alleviated poverty with a microfinance organization in the slums of Pune. In Tanzania, I researched witness protection programs for the establishment of a program in the Tribunal of Rwanda. I share my personal experiences, while sharing information about reputable study abroad programs
